President Trump used his opening speech at the University of Alabama on Thursday to win the second term of his administration's first 100 days.
“This week we celebrated the first 100 most successful days of the presidential administration in our country's history, and we have been given many credits for that,” Trump told a crowd of university graduates in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, describing the present moment as a “golden age.”
“But we're not a perfect term maker for 100 days, but it's going to get even better as we go,” Trump added.
Trump sometimes resembles a presidential speech, boasting that his administration has advanced in many areas where he campaigned in the last election, including immigration and grocery prices.
Trump repeated statistics that in April, three undocumented immigrants crossed the US southern border and the government cut border intersections to “99.999%,” but U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has not announced the immigrant encounters in April.Data released from CBP It showed an immigration intersection of about 11,000 people in March. This is part of the immigration intersection recorded in March last year, exceeding 189,000.
Trump also touted the drop in egg prices and gas. The president boasted that there was a difference between retail and wholesale egg prices, but he boasted that egg prices had dropped by 87% from the beginning of his term.Retail prices rise to a record average of $6.22The prices of wholesale eggs are falling.
The president also boasts using the opportunity to promote election victory during the November election, winning all seven battlefield states against former Vice President Harris and 312 election college votes. He repeated the unfounded claim that the 2020 election was “equipped” while describing former President Biden's term as “abnormal.”
His comments stated that trans women say that at one point in sports that match their gender identity, they received loud applause.
During his speech, Trump sprinkled praise and a bite of coaching on Alabama alumni, especially the school's track and field, and Nick Saban, a former college soccer coach who introduced him before his opening speech.
Trump's shining portrayal of a glowing country — “We are in the midst of another kind of revolution — the Victory Revolution and the Revolution of Common Sense” — provided the event with a split screen early on the day Trump announced he would move his national security adviser Michael Waltz before moving to the next ambassador.
The transition comes after Waltz accidentally added journalists to an uncategorized signalling chat that includes other Trump administration officials, and then detailed their strike plans against Houthis.
It also draws attention towards the Pentagon, amid a few top-level pentagonal personnel leaving as the department investigates leaks.
But at one point, Trump used his opening speech to air his handling of frustration with the court and immigration issues.
The court ordered the Trump administration to promote the return of two individuals sent to Salvador prisons, and before Thursday a federal judge ruled that his administration could not use alien enemy laws to send suspects of Venezuelan gangs.
“Judges are probably interfering based on legitimate processes, but how can we give people who have come to our country illegally to a legitimate process? They want to give them a legitimate process,” Trump said.
He also wasted no time introducing some ex-enemy admiers in his speech.
“Amazing,” Trump added. “It's good like this.”
