Trump Team Already Preparing Steps to Challenge ICC

Actions have consequences. President-elect Donald Trump's team is acting on that principle after the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Job Gallant. The company is preparing to appeal to the same court to impose sanctions.

The ICC filed a lawsuit Thursday against Israeli leaders for war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza in retaliation against Hamas terrorists for last year's deadly attack. The move comes after President Joe Biden rescinded Trump's original executive order on the ICC in May.

ICC prosecutor Karim Khan, who is facing charges of sexual misconduct, initiated the warrant application along with a warrant application against Palestinian terrorists, all of whom were subsequently killed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

A source in Washington told News Source: “Personal sanctions could be imposed not only on prosecutors and courts, but also on the judge himself who issued the order.”

Additionally, some argue that sanctions should be extended to the families of members of the tribunal responsible for issuing arrest warrants.

As Breitbart News previously reported, the ICC's move to equate Israeli leaders with Hamas terrorists comes after Biden lifted sanctions on the ICC for such investigations, and Khan The public backlash against the ICC chief was only mild.

The Biden administration was suspected by Israelis of using the impending ICC warrant as a means to pressure Israel to comply with U.S. policies, such as not pursuing Hamas terrorists in the town of Rafah.

In June 2020, President Trump Executive Order 13928imposed sanctions on ICC officials who tried to investigate U.S. and allied soldiers for military actions against terrorists.

biden canceled Order immediately after President Trump took office. Biden and the Democratic Party declared “America is back” and sought to foster international goodwill by giving credibility and power to the ICC.
