Brittany Mahomes appears to be endorsing Donald Trump, and Trump echoed the support on Wednesday.
The former president thanked the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for her support after she “liked” an Instagram post by Trump in August.
“I want to thank the beautiful Brittany Mahomes for her strong defense of me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful political movement in the history of our country that is now in decline.” Trump posted on Truth Social late Wednesday morning.
“With crime and illegal immigration totally out of control, inflation hitting all over the US, and the world laughing at the stupidity of our hapless 'leaders', it's nice to have someone who loves our country and wants to save it from ruin. What a great couple. See you at the Super Bowl!”
Mahomes came under fire last month for liking a post by a Republican candidate titled “2024 Republican Platform,” which included controversial topics such as deportation.
The likes appear to have since been removed.
More than a week later, the SI Swimsuit model fired back at her critics.
“Let's be honest,” Mahomes wrote on his Instagram Story, “if you're being hated as an adult, it means you have deep-seated issues from childhood that you refuse to heal.”
“If your own brain is fully developed, there's no reason to be put off by seeing other people doing well.”
While some believe Brittany has made her political stance clear, Patrick has avoided wading into those waters. Time magazine interview.
According to the article, the QB did not endorse any candidate four years ago.
The three-time Super Bowl champion and Brittany have two children together, 3-year-old Sterling and 1-year-old Bronze, and announced in July that they are expecting a baby girl.
“I don't want to pressure people to vote for a particular president,” Patrick told TIME. “No matter who you believe, I want people to speak up. I want people to investigate.”
For President Trump to meet the Mahomes family at the White House, he'll need to defeat Kamala Harris in November and the Chiefs will become the first team in history to win three consecutive Super Bowl championships.
The Chiefs' showdown with history begins Thursday in their NFL opener against the Ravens.
