Trump Threatens Legal Action Against Trevor Noah Over Grammy Remarks

President Donald Trump has indicated he may pursue legal action against Trevor Noah, the host of the 2026 Grammy Awards, following comments that linked Trump to Epstein’s island. This controversy brewed despite Trump not attending the event.

Throughout the CBS awards show, Trump seemed to be an unintentional focal point. Notably, Bad Bunny, set to perform at the upcoming Super Bowl, provocatively stated, “Before I say thank God, I’m going to say, ‘Forget ICE.’”

Billie Eilish, winner of the Song of the Year for “Wildflower,” echoed similar sentiments in her acceptance speech, emphasizing, “No one is an illegal alien in stolen land,” before adding a strong insult against ICE.

Afterward, Noah jokingly insinuated a connection between Trump, Greenland, and Epstein’s island, remarking, “So Epstein’s island is gone, so we need a new one to play with Bill Clinton.”

It seemed Noah might have felt he overstepped as he acknowledged the show’s broadcast on a network that recently settled a lawsuit with Trump. He mused about this being his final appearance as host after multiple attempts.

In the early hours of Monday, Trump responded by accusing Noah of making “false and defamatory statements,” specifically referring to rumors about his supposed ties to Epstein’s island. “I have never been on or near Epstein’s Island. Until tonight’s comments, I had never even been accused of that by the media,” Trump remarked in a social media post.

He then warned Noah to retract his statements, asserting, “Noah, you’re a complete loser; get your facts straight. You’ll need a lawyer if you keep this up.” Trump also reminded that he had previously won lawsuits against media outlets.

“Noah, brace yourself; this is going to be entertaining!” Trump cautioned.

Neither CBS nor representatives for Noah responded to inquiries regarding the incident.
