Trump Thrives; Harris ‘Incredibly Bad’ Unscripted

Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, said it was “smart” for former President Donald Trump to debate Vice President Kamala Harris, contrasting the two because Trump feeds off the energy of the crowd and Harris is “incredibly bad” without a script. Breitbart News SaturdayHe responded to the news that President Trump would be appearing on Fox News at a debate.

Trump Announced At Truth Social, he agreed to debate Harris on Fox News on Wednesday, September 4th in front of a “sold-out arena audience.”

“Okay, I think that’s great,” Vance said, referring to a narrative recently created by the Harris campaign that claimed in recent days that Trump had been afraid to debate Harris.

“Kamala’s campaign has long argued that President Trump is afraid of debating Kamala Harris, which of course is ridiculous because the last time President Trump debated their candidate, that candidate dropped out after two weeks,” Vance said, explaining that Trump was simply saying there would be no debate before the Democratic National Convention in case Democrats decided to change their candidate again.

“Why debate with people who may not even be candidates?” Vance said.

“The great thing about this, Matt, is he’s basically saying, ‘Look, this is after the Democratic National Convention, I’m going to the debates,’ and I also think he’s throwing down the gauntlet that he’s willing to go to CNN, which has been far more hostile towards him than any network has been towards Kamala Harris,” he said.

“So, Kamala Harris, why aren’t you coming and debating?” Vance asked, laying out the issues to Harris in advance.

“Matt, if there’s one thing I’ve learned about Kamala over the last four years, it’s that she’s really bad without a script. You can put her in front of a teleprompter and tell her what to say, and she’ll be fine. [when] “She would actually have to answer the questions based solely on her own knowledge and interest in the policy, which would be a bit of a disaster,” the senator said.

listen:

“My final comment on this issue is, the reason I think it’s very smart for the president to do this is because he gets his nourishment from humans, and it’s natural. [and] “It’s normal for political leaders,” he said. “Your job is to lead people, and to lead people you have to like and relate to people.”

“Well, I think it’s very important for him to have an audience for this debate because it shows his natural leadership ability, and it also shows, frankly, that people are tired of Kamala Harris. So I think it’s a good thing. Hopefully it happens and Kamala Harris agrees to it,” Vance said, adding, “If she doesn’t agree, then clearly she’s the one who’s afraid of the debate.”
