Country music star Jason Aldean, who will perform at the inaugural Liberty Ball, told CBS Morning on Monday that President Donald Trump heralds “the beginning of a new era for our country.”
“I've known President Trump for a few years, and we've spent a few years together and played golf and stuff like that,” Aldean said. “I've obviously been a huge supporter of his over the last few years. , when he was elected, I just called and asked what this looks like I don't know if it's going to happen, but I said I'd love to be there in some capacity and help celebrate you and what it's all about, whether it's singing or sitting in the crowd and watching. Whatever it was, I just wanted to be a part of it. It kind of went from there.”
He continued, “I think this is a big day for our country. I want you to know, I don't know, the last few years, we've had some really divisive days, and there's just a lot of things that have happened.'' It's like the beginning of a new era for our country and it's like we're getting back on track. ”
