Trump Plans Patrol with Law Enforcement in D.C.
President Donald Trump recently shared plans to join the Washington, D.C. crime patrol alongside police and military personnel during an interview on the Todd Starnes Show.
During the discussion, Trump suggested that many Americans prefer not to have open borders or criminal activities affecting their neighborhoods. “We straightened out the crime in four days in D.C.,” he stated, responding to accusations of dictatorial behavior from critics on the left.
He continued, “People are getting robbed left and right, but they’re reporting it as if everything is fine. It’s worse than ever, yet folks are happy. They’re going out to restaurants again.”
In a somewhat casual tone, Trump mentioned, “I’m going out tonight. I’ll keep it a secret, but I’m going—just between you and your listeners.” He added, “The National Guard has been fantastic. They’re doing an amazing job, and it’s really going to be something.”
The announcement came shortly after reports indicated a significant drop in violent crime, with a 22% decrease citywide and no reported murders last week. Additionally, since Trump’s federal involvement, carjackings have plummeted by 83%, and robberies have decreased by 46%.
This news aligns with Attorney General Pam Bondy’s report of 630 arrests and the seizure of 86 illegal firearms in D.C., following Trump’s commitment to enhance local police capabilities by placing them under federal oversight and revitalizing the National Guard to ensure safety in the area.
