Former President Donald Trump sarcastically said he would remove “apathy” from his list of insults after former Attorney General Bill Barr’s “wholehearted support.”
President Trump posted on Truth Social late Wednesday:
oh! Former Inspector General Bill Barr, who disappointed many great people by not investigating voter fraud in our country, is what I call him “weak, slow, lethargic, gutless, and lazy.” The (New) York Post just endorsed me as a presidential candidate, even though I called it that! ). Based on the fact that I am very grateful for his wholehearted support, I will remove the word “apathy” from my statement. Thank you, Bill. Maga 2024!
Barr, who served as the second attorney general in the Trump administration, has been bashing the former president since leaving office. However, he recently said he would vote “on the Republican ticket.”
Barr was asked on FOX’s “America’s Newsroom” on April 18 whether he would support Trump in 2024.
“I’ve said all along that, given two bad choices, I think it’s my duty to choose the person that I think will do the least harm to the country,” Barr said. And in my heart, I’m going to vote Republican. I support the Republican ticket. ”
