Donald Trump has slammed former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney and his daughter, former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, as “irrelevant” Republicans after they endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
“Dick Cheney, along with his daughter, are unaffiliated Republican primary candidates who lost by the largest margin in the history of a congressional election!” Republican presidential candidate Trump lashed out on his Truth Social platform on Friday.They use a derogatory acronym to refer to Republicans in all but name.
“They [former Dick Cheney aide] “They pardoned Scooter Libby, who did so much for them (but was so wronged), I did it!” he added.
“I am a peace president. I am the only one who can stop World War III!” Trump claimed, hours after the former vice president slammed him as a “threat” to America.
Dick Cheney said Friday that “there has never been a greater threat to our country than Donald Trump.”
“He used lies and violence to try to steal the last election in order to remain in power after the voters rejected him, and he cannot be trusted to hold power again,” the former vice president said.
Harris' daughter, who lost in the 2022 Republican primary, voiced her support for him on Thursday.
Former President Cheney statement Hours earlier, President Trump had claimed that “in the 248-year history of our country, there has never been an individual more threatening to our country than Donald Trump.”
“That's why I'm going to be voting for Vice President Kamala Harris,” he added.
