Trump Treasury Sanctions Iranian Petroleum Magnate

Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent announced Tuesday that the department approved Sei Asadora Emmayome and his corporate network, saying he and his network tried to avoid American sanctions.

“Emamjomeh and his network have tried to export thousands of shipments of LPG from the US – avoiding US sanctions and generating revenue for Iran.” I said in a written statement. “The United States is committed to retaining those responsible for trying to provide the Iranian regime with the funds it needs to promote destabilizing activities locally and around the world.”

The Ministry of Finance explained in a press release:

Emamjomeh’s vast network includes the Tinos I, a ship that was intended and failed to load cargo off the coast of Houston, Texas in 2024. In addition to crude oil, LPG continues to be the main source of revenue for the Iranian regime. The proceeds are based on Iran’s nuclear and advanced traditional weapons program.

“This action is driving the implementation of the Ministry of Finance Memorandum of understanding of the President of the National Security 2 (NSPM-2) has enacted the biggest economic pressure campaign against Iran,” the press release continued.

The Ministry of Finance has detailed information about Iran’s liquefied petroleum and gas network

Over 10 years based in Iran I’ve got Asadora Emmamyome (Ema Myome) and his son, British and Iranian citizens based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Meisam Emamjomeh (Meisam), which owns and operates LPG sales, transport and delivery networks using multiple Iranian and UAE-based companies. Emamjomeh and his UAE-based company; Caspia’s petrochemical fze (Caspian Petrochemical) is part of a network that exported thousands of LPG shipments from Iran to Pakistan and conducted a business of tens of millions of dollars on behalf of the Persian Gulf Chemical Industry Commercial Co. (PGPICC).

OFAC designated Persian Gulf Petrochemical Commercial Co. (PGPICC) on July 7, 2019, in accordance with the anti-proliferation authority, EO 13382, as it is owned or controlled by the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company (PGPIC). PGPIC itself was designated in accordance with EO 13382 on the same day for providing financial support to Khatam Al-Anbiya, an engineering conglomerate of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC).

These sanctions follow the Trump administration, which sanctions on four individuals linked to Ranueva Familia Michoacana (LNFM), a Mexican cartel linked to fentanyl and human trafficking.
