Trump trial indefinitely paused by Georgia Court

A Georgia appeals court has paused trial proceedings in Fani Willis’ lawsuit challenging Donald Trump’s 2020 election, likely delaying the trial until after the 2024 election.

“I think the best-case scenario is that we postpone this until after the election of Donald Trump.” Sara Gonzalez “We’re concerned,” said Jason Buttrill, Glenn Beck’s chief scientist.

“This is something that is out of his control. If the trial continues after he takes office, he will not be able to be pardoned if convicted. I have no confidence in these courts, some of the judges and juries,” Buttrill said.

Buttrill also noted that a conviction in such a case could result in an increase in the sentence for the most recent conviction.

“I don’t know. There’s too much grey area, too much that could happen. Some people really want him in jail, so it’s a possibility,” he continued, adding, “Until this news is gone, I don’t consider it a victory.”

Blaze TV Contributor Matthew Marsden is also concerned.

“I don’t know what it takes for people to actually say, ‘Wait a second, this is very, very, very important,'” Marsden said. “You go on social media and people say, ‘Well, I’m a conservative and I have to work and I have to put food on the table and I have to take care of my kids.'”

“I get that, but they’re going to try to get your kids, they’re going to try to take food off your table,” he continued, adding, “Gone are the old days of thinking you could get by. We saw it with Trump. They’re never going to stop.”
