Trump upends federal workforce with threat to fire policy makers who oppose him and run DC ‘like a business’

WASHINGTON – President Trump announced Friday that his administration will move to end federal workers who oppose the Republican agenda more easily.

A new rule from the HR Administration, which has long been called “Schedule F,” will reclassify people working on key policy issues as “scheduling policies/careers,” remove protections for civil servants and make them “willed” employees.

The OPM estimates that 50,000 workers (or about 2% of the federal workforce) will ultimately be rejected either due to a poor performance or a “subversion” of Trump’s instructions.

“If these government workers refuse to advance the president’s policy interests or engage in corrupt behaviour, they should no longer do their jobs,” Trump said. I wrote about a true society.

“This is common sense and the federal government can ultimately “run like a business.” We must eradicate corruption and implement accountability to federal workers! ”

Trump announced new rules Friday afternoon, putting perhaps tens of thousands of workers at risk not implementing Trump’s agenda. Reuters

Trump first proposed a “Schedule F” rule near the end of his first term.

Former President Joe Biden retracted the rule, but Trump restored it with an executive order signed on the first day of his second term.

Trump and his allies have long accused government officials of choosing to act on behalf of the president of their own policy desires, destroying or stalling enforcer plans through the bureaucracy.

According to the OPM fact sheet, it should be noted that to remove federal workers, the new rules allow for the rapid removal of people who “become their own profits before the Americans” six months or a year before appeal.

“Federal employees who maintain policy have a huge impact on our laws and our lives. Such employees must be bound by the highest standards of conduct. Americans deserve an effective and accountable government,” OPM Acting Chuck Ezell said in a statement.

People at the forefront of implementation policies, such as law enforcement, are generally excluded, according to the agency.

Federal employees don’t need to politically agree to the president.
Implement laws and government policies. ”
