Trump Urges Ukraine to Avoid Attacking Diesel Refineries

During his visit to the Irish Open at his golf club in Doonbeg, Ireland, President Donald Trump made a statement regarding Ukraine’s military actions against Russia. He advised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to refrain from targeting diesel refineries amid ongoing strikes.

This remark came after a reporter inquired about any communication Trump had with Zelensky following a recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Zelensky has to do one thing. He has to stop knocking out diesel fuel in Russia,” Trump emphasized while speaking to the media.

Though Trump acknowledged Ukraine’s right to attack inside Russia, he specifically urged Zelensky to avoid striking the country’s diesel infrastructure.

“Let him go after targets, but not diesel fuel because he’s causing a shortage of diesel,” Trump explained. “This isn’t done by the Middle East. This is done by what’s happening with Russia and Ukraine.”

He also mentioned that he had previously discussed the matter directly with Zelensky.

“So we spoke to Mr. Zelensky about it. There are plenty of other targets,” Trump added. “Don’t hit diesel fuel because that’s hurting the world. We don’t want him to hit diesel fuel. He’s hitting diesel refineries.”

Trump’s remarks coincided with Ukraine’s escalating drone and missile attacks aimed at disrupting Russian energy supplies, which are crucial for sustaining Moscow’s long-running military operations.

🚨 NOW: President Trump is CALLING OUT Zelensky for blowing up fuel stations in Russia and causing more energy shortages. “He’s causing a SHORTAGE of diesel fuel. This isn’t done by the Middle East, this is done by what’s happening with Russia and Ukraine!”
