White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt added that the White House Faith Office has compiled “an extraordinary week celebration of Holy Week before Easter Sunday.”

President Donald Trump began Holy Week on Sunday with a strong message about true society, reminding Americans that he remembers “the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, God’s only born son, our Lord and Savior.”

“…and on Easter Sunday we celebrate his glorious resurrection, declaring, “He has been resurrected!”, as Christians have done for nearly two thousand years. “Through the pain and sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, we, through God’s infinite love and devotion, in the moment of resurrection for all humanity, history has been eternally transformed by the promises of life that have been eternally altered.”

“We hope that Christians will be happy and extremely blessed holiday anywhere as we approach this delightful Easter Sunday,” Trump continued, describing America as a “nation of followers.”

“We need God, we want God, and with His help we will make our nation stronger, safer, more prosperous and more united than ever before. Thank you and a happy Easter!” Trump added.

Trump’s message and his administration’s plan for Holy Week stands in stark contrast to “visibility trans day” under the leadership last year under former President Joe Biden, who recognized the sacredest Sunday of the Christian Holiday, Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024.
