Trump Will Act if Needed to Defend Homeland

On Monday's broadcast of FOX News Channel's “Special Report,” Rep. Mike Walz (R-Fla.), President-elect Donald Trump's nominee for national security adviser, spoke to the jury about the new leadership inside Syria. The official said that no conclusion had been reached yet. Regarding the possibility that Islamic extremists may have obtained chemical weapons possessed by the Assad regime, he said, “President Trump was elected with the overwhelming mission of preventing further U.S. drugs from entering the Middle East.'' said. war. That doesn't mean he's never willing to intervene. Remember when Assad used chemical weapons all those years ago, and he took decisive action,” and “If the American homeland was threatened in any way, President Trump took decisive action.” There's nothing wrong with taking action.”

Walz said, “Well, Brett, I'm glad Assad is gone. But it clearly leaves a void, and our jury has given no indication to this group, HTS, and its leader, Julani, who has been declared a terrorist.'' I am against it. But on the other hand, at least for now, they haven't beheaded former Assad regime officials or hung them from bridges. They seem to be sitting and talking, which is a very good sign. But President Trump and our team are watching very closely. He is also keeping a very close eye on the tens of thousands of ISIS fighters and their families still held in camps since President Trump wiped out and destroyed ISIS during his first term. We continue to keep a close eye on them and the Kurds who are watching them. And lastly, of course, we will always stand by Israel. And we must not miss the opportunity to say, Bibi, the leader of Israel, who eliminated Hezbollah. In response to Netanyahu's strong actions, I say this. [have] put Iran in a disadvantageous position, [have] Combined with Russia's mire in the situation in Ukraine, the fact that no one was willing to come to Assad's aid as before left them in a weakened position. So we'll see how this goes, but our core interest is finding a home for ISIS, Israel, the Gulf Arab allies, and of course…Austin Tice. ”

Next, host Bret Baier said, “President-elect Trump on Social Truth… said“The United States should have nothing to do with it. This is not our fight. Let's play. Don't get caught! Are you at all concerned that Islamic extremists in Syria will obtain the chemical weapons used by us in the United States? [know] Did Bashar al-Assad have one? ”

Mr. Waltz replied: “Look, Brett, President Trump was elected with the overwhelming mandate of keeping American drugs out of further Middle East wars. That doesn't mean he's never going to intervene. Years ago when Assad used chemical weapons and took decisive action. Remember, Israel, again with Bibi's leadership, has shut down some of those sites and we are all keeping a close eye on them and if the American homeland is threatened in any way. President Trump will have no problem taking decisive action.”
