The Eagles are not just the NFL team invited to the White House in 2025.
Despite losses at Super Bowl LIX in February, President Donald Trump Interview with Outkick The Chiefs didn't get the chance to celebrate with POTUS when it came to Washington, DC to celebrate their Super Bowl 2020 victory.
“I look forward to doing one more thing with the Eagles, because then the Kansas City chiefs missed their turn for Covid,” Trump said in an interview with the outlet about Air Force 1.
The White House has not publicly commented on Trump's remarks, nor has the mayor.
It is unclear whether the official invitation has been extended.
The chiefs had no chance to celebrate 2020 at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue due to the Covid-19 pandemic that shut down the world.
Trump is in favor of the Chief who enters this year's Super Bowl, and is on hand in part of the big game and becomes the first US president to attend the Super Bowl.
He was writing a congratulatory message after the Chiefs won the AFC Championship this year.
“Everything else, including a great team, a coach, a quarterback and some great fans of those, voted me (MAGA!) in a record number,” Trump posted on social media.
The Eagles are scheduled to visit the White House on April 28th, as they paid great attention to whether to make a traditional trip to DC created by the championship-winning team.
After winning the Super Bowl in 2018, the Eagles were separated by their presidential days before their visit.
In an interview with Outkick, Trump claimed that the Eagles' first Super Bowl winner team wanted to come despite the fact that certain players were not going.
“Well, in fact, I wanted the (Eagles) to come,” Trump said. “A lot of people wanted to come, including the coach. [Doug Pederson] – Amazing guy by the way – But the coach wanted to come. general manager [Howie Roseman] I wanted to come. Owner [Jeffrey Lurie] I wanted to come. A lot of people wanted to come. Some players wanted to come. And I just said, I'm fine with just forgetting that, right? ”
