Trump will not invite South Africa to the G-20 summit in Miami, saying, 'They are killing white people'

Trump Excludes South Africa from 2026 G20 Summit

President Trump has declared that South Africa will not receive an invitation to the upcoming G20 summit in Miami, citing the country’s alleged “genocide” against white farmers as the main reason. This announcement follows a significant diplomatic rift, as U.S. officials largely boycotted this year’s G20 summit in Johannesburg over similar claims.

In his comments on Truth Social, Trump stated that when South Africa wouldn’t allow a senior U.S. Embassy representative to take part in the closing ceremony, it solidified his decision. “So, on my orders, South Africa will not be invited to the 2026 G20, which is set to be hosted in Miami, Florida,” he continued. He asserted that South Africa had shown itself to be unworthy of membership and stated, perhaps not too subtly, that financial aid to the country would be halted immediately.

Trump pointed out that this year’s G20 gathering was boycotted by the U.S. because “the South African government refuses to acknowledge or address the horrific human rights abuses” that the Afrikaner population faces. He went on to express his views bluntly: “They are allowing white people to be murdered and their farms taken at random.”

On the other hand, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has vehemently denied any claims of genocide against white farmers. Earlier this year, Trump had welcomed Ramaphosa to the White House and even showed him a video alleging crimes against humanity happening in South Africa.

In a turn of events, the U.S. has offered refugee status to some white South Africans, citing a supposed humanitarian crisis. This is quite the complicated situation, isn’t it? The upcoming G20 conference will actually mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S., and notably, it’s the first time since 2009 that the country will be the host. Interestingly, it will take place at Trump National Doral Miami, the president’s own golf resort.
