Rep. Mark Harris (R-North Carolina) said during an appearance on his show that President Donald Trump will see a “FEMA fiasco” when he visits North Carolina. Breitbart News Daily.
President Trump announced this week that he would visit disaster-hit areas, starting with North Carolina, a state “abandoned by Democrats” after Hurricane Helen.
“We're going to protect Los Angeles. I'm going to go there. I'm going to go to North Carolina, which the Democrats have abandoned,” Trump said. “And, very importantly, we're going to North Carolina first. We'll be there on Friday, and then from there we'll go to Los Angeles, and then we'll go to Nevada.”
When asked what President Trump would find in his state, Harris said, first and foremost, “a fiasco at FEMA.”
“Sometimes, as some have said, FEMA seemed to get in the way. “He's going to visit ministries. He's going to see churches in the community that are rallying around these people, helping rebuild their homes, providing shelter,” the congressman said. “He's going to see things like that.”
“And what we want to do is make sure that FEMA is able to do what it's supposed to do, which is to provide a bridge for these people to get their lives back on track.” Thank you for your support,” Harris continued.
“So I think he's committed to making sure North Carolina isn't forgotten in all of this,” he said, noting his state has been largely forgotten by many. .

Asked if she supported the use of U.S. forces in Mexico, Harris said it was essential to consider the facts of the situation to see if such action was justified. But he said securing and defending the southern border is absolutely necessary.
“I know as we move from one news story to the next and all the attention is back on California, we can’t help but see these people and these heartbreaking photos and stories. “We are certainly hurting, and we must also remember those in Western North Carolina who have been devastated by this once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he added.
