Anthony Scaramucci, a former communications director for the Trump administration, said on CNN’s “The Lead” on Friday that former President Donald Trump planned to use the FBI like Nazi Germany’s “Gestapo.”
“Biden’s message is great. Biden’s legislative agenda is effective. He’s done more for working class people than Donald Trump did from 2017 to 2021, and therein lies the problem,” Scaramucci said.
“Unfortunately, in today’s society, these elections are popularity contests, not adoption decisions, so we have to come up with a strategy to grow the network of independents who support Biden,” he added.
Scaramucci added, “Dr. Phil is a great guy. I don’t know how much he charged for therapy with Donald Trump, but it was therapy. And there’s a double meaning behind it. Donald Trump says two things at once, and his opponents get one thing, and his supporters and us get another. So he’s saying he doesn’t want revenge, that revenge is success, and on the other hand he’s letting people know, ‘I can’t wait to get this job, because I’m going to get revenge through the justice system.’ He’s also telling my friends, my lawyers, who defended him in court, that he wants to use the FBI as a Gestapo. He probably doesn’t know what that means, but that’s what he’s saying. So we have to hold them accountable for those things. And if we do all that, President Biden will be reelected.”
