Trump wins Wisconsin GOP primary

Former President Trump is expected to win Wisconsin’s Republican presidential primary, according to Decision Desk Headquarters.

Trump was not expected to face serious competition in the state, which holds 41 delegates on the Republican side. He was in the Badger State early Tuesday, visiting the state for the first time this year.

But President Trump is still holding protest votes in some states, with Republican primary voters voting for former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, who withdrew from the Republican primary last month.

While a vote for Ms. Haley will not change the outcome that Mr. Trump is the Republican presidential nominee, it does mean that there is still a segment of primary voters in states such as Arizona who are uninterested in supporting the former president. It shows.

Wisconsin is one of the few swing states that will decide this fall’s presidential election. In addition to President Trump’s visit to Green Bay on Tuesday, President Biden visited Milwaukee last month and is scheduled to return to the state next week before heading to Madison.
