Trump wonders about being overlooked for the Nobel Peace Prize even after resolving various conflicts

President Donald Trump has criticized the Norwegian Nobel Committee for overlooking his administration’s foreign policy achievements following the announcement of the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.

In a detailed post on Truth Social, Trump highlighted several accomplishments during his presidency, such as the resolution of eight wars, preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons, securing the release of Israeli hostages from Hamas, and playing a role in the ousting of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.

“The United States of America, represented by me, as your President, should have received the Nobel Peace Prize, but didn’t. This is an indelible stain on Norway, one that will never be forgotten. The Nobel ‘Peace’ Prize has been forever discredited by a handful of Radical Ideologues who are Anti-Democracy, and Enemies of Civilization!” Trump stated.

This statement follows the Nobel committee’s decision to award the peace prize to Navi Pillay, a former International Criminal Court judge with whom Trump has previously expressed disagreement.
