In an interview with Nigel Farage on Tuesday, President Trump said “appropriate action” would be needed if the British royal family was found to have lied about drug use when applying for U.S. visas.

Prince Harry has faced legal issues over his immigration status after revealing in his memoir that he had taken mushrooms, cocaine and marijuana. Under normal circumstances, ingesting these substances would result in disqualification from a U.S. visa.

Trump did not specify what he meant by “appropriate action” against the prince. However, he alluded to the fact that the administration will not simply turn a blind eye.

President Trump has said he will not protect Prince Harry because of his unforgivable betrayal of Queen Elizabeth II and the terrible things he said about her shortly before his death.
