Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) said MSNBC's “reported by Chris Yensing” on Friday that it was “a total disruption” with Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky, president of Ukrainian, Voldymir Zelensky, on Friday.
Kelly said, “What a complete and total mess. And this is a gift to Putin. And don't make any mistakes, and I hope Americans get this, this makes us look weak and it's not normal behaviour.”
He continued. “USA. Chris, we are superpowers. Our power is our military, our economy, our diplomatic corps, our professionalism. This was not professional. You get nothing by acting like a bully. And this is what the bully does. By the way, just because you act like this doesn't mean you're tough. So this is a mess. I hope we can fix this relationship. President Zelensky and his president of the country are grateful.”
Kelly added: “Our history has been a lot of tense negotiations. Countries. We don't do this in public. This wasn't. Get anything. And I think it's important for Americans to understand. For what happened today. We're all less safe. And I tell you, there was one winner in this, the winner of Chris Wang, and if you watch Russian TV tonight or tomorrow morning, you know they're going to cover this. They'll be happy with this. Putin and his companions are probably popping a bottle of champagne now.”
