Trump’s ‘Personality Cult’ Has a ‘Sickness,’ They Want Authoritarianism

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Wednesday on his “Morning Joe” show that some supporters of former President Donald Trump are “sick” because they want authoritarianism. He said there was.

At a Fox News Channel town hall on Tuesday, host Sean Hannity said, “You’re making a promise to America tonight that, under no circumstances, will you ever abuse your power in retaliation against anyone.” Is that so?” he asked.

“Except for the first day,” Trump said.

He added: “We want to close our borders and we want to keep drilling, drilling, drilling.”

“If any other politician in American history was asked the question, ‘Are you going to be a dictator?'” Scarborough said. Hmm, no. Donald Trump never answered that. He never answered it. Unfortunately, some of our fellow Americans have developed a disease regarding authoritarianism and totalitarianism. They want it because there was applause when Willy promised to be dictator on the first day! ”

Mika Brzezinski said, “Well, it’s on Fox News. So a lot of people are paying attention.”

Scarborough said, “This is a cult of personality, and it’s very bad for America. And don’t get me wrong, when Donald Trump said, ‘I’m going to be a dictator from day one,’ a large part of that audience cheered. I raised it. Well, they want it. ”
