Suspected serial killer Charles Sobhraj, known as “The Snake,” was released from a Nepalese prison in 2022 after serving 19 years for murder. He is currently undergoing psychological questioning regarding a murder case that has never been tried in Thailand. In this intense three-part documentary series, two former Metropolitan Police detectives and a leading forensic psychologist explore his childhood and motivations. The opening episode depicts the frauds and robberies he committed in his 20s, and then what appears to be his first murder begins to be re-investigated. Holly Richardson
