TLC star Amy Slaton 1,000-pound sisterswas arrested on drug charges and child endangerment at a Tennessee zoo and spent part of Labor Day weekend in jail.
Police in Alamo, Crockett County, West Tennessee, were called to Tennessee Safari Park on a report of a camel biting a park visitor, but during the police call, an officer came across Slaton and quickly became suspicious.
Slaton, 36, was not involved in the Camel incident, but a Crockett County Sheriff's Office officer passed by Slaton's vehicle when Reported TMZ reported that they smelled drugs coming from the car.
Officers suspected the occupants of the vehicle were in possession of illegal drugs and focused their attention on Slaton and her boyfriend, Brian Scott LaVaughn.
in Facebook Message According to a Sheriff's Department news posted Monday, Slaton and Loveborn were charged with unlawful possession of Schedule I drugs, unlawful possession of Schedule VI drugs and two counts of child endangerment.
Police did not release the identity of the child who was in the car with the couple.
The two were arrested on Labor Day and booked into the Crockett County Jail.
Since 2020, Slaton has co-starred with her sister Tammy on a TLC reality show. The series chronicles the pair's efforts to lose weight and get healthy.
The sheriff's department did not identify Slaton and Lovebone's children, but Slaton has two young children, Gage Dion, 4, and Glen Allen, 2, with her estranged husband, Michael Halterman.

The ministry also did not report the outcome of the camel bite incident.
