It all started on Wednesday in the bottom of the eighth inning against the Detroit Tigers, when he singled in his final at-bat.

He followed that up with five hits in five at-bats on Thursday and four hits in four at-bats on Friday for a total of 10 hits in 10 at-bats.

He started Saturday against the Houston Astros after being hit by a pitch in his first at-bat, singled to score a run in the second inning and then singled again two innings later to tie the record.

In the bottom of the sixth, Miranda was inches away from scoring, but his liner was fouled off. After pushing the count to 2-2, Miranda finally flied out to left field.

Pirates rookie phenom Paul Skeens makes MLB history with another dominant performance

It eventually had to end, but Twins fans gave him a huge round of applause.

Thanks to the hit by pitch, he reached base in 13 consecutive at-bats, setting a team record.

Miranda joined Johnny Kling (1902), Pinky Higgins (1938) and Walt Dropo (1952) in having four singles.

The streak helped Miranda’s batting average improve from .294 to .329 in a matter of days.

Miranda is currently on a 10-game hitting streak, but that streak is just a microcosm of how well he is doing.

Miranda is hitting .345 through 58 games played to date. He’s batting .500 over his last 15 games.
