It was a new era of Minnesota baseball coverage.
And Bob Costas' legendary voice recounted an exciting and highly produced video to get it started.
There was only one problem. It had nothing to do with the twins.
On the day MLB TV dealed with widespread streaming issues, the twins launched a new TV channel by airing a video about the Guardian, the AL Central rival.
“Today marks a new era of TV coverage for the Guardians,” Costas said in the video.
The video plays for three minutes, and some people decide that something is being aired and switch to twins broadcasting. Athletic reported.
The twins joined the Guardian, Brewer, Rocky, Padres and Diamondback to produce and broadcast the game in Major League Baseball.
The opening day was tough for MLB TV. This was down to a massive technology issue, as downDectector, who saw a surge in the report around 3pm, had around 8,500 users reported issues and reported many issues to social media complaining about the suspension.
About an hour later, the league's MLB TV Customer Service X account said it knew the situation.
“We are aware of this issue and hope for a resolution soon. We are sorry for the delay,” he wrote.

The issue has launched a consumer subscription service using MLBTV in New York, in conjunction with Mets' broadcast partner SNY. This was also affected by Thursday's issue.
According to Variety, complaints rose to over 21,000 around 4pm.
