Two arrested for assisting a runaway accused of murdering a Tennessee family

Tennessee Family Homicide Investigation

Authorities in Tennessee have charged two men in connection with the murder of a family of four. They are also accused of assisting a fleeing suspect and enticing a baby who was found abandoned by the roadside.

Tanaka Brown and Giovante Thomas, both 29, face charges related to their alleged support of 28-year-old Austin Robert Drummond. Drummond is still at large, wanted for the murders of a family, including an incident where a seven-month-old boy was left in a car seat on the grass near Tigret last Tuesday.

Details about how Brown and Thomas allegedly aided Drummond, who is facing multiple counts of first-degree murder and other charges, remain unclear.

Brown is also facing a charge of tampering with evidence. He was booked into Lake County Jail on Friday but is not currently being held there.

Thomas was in custody at Madison County Jail for unrelated matters when new charges were brought against him. He’s expected to be transferred to Lake County Jail for these charges.

Drummond has connections to the victims, and officials believe the killings were targeted. The victims include James M. Wilson, 21, and his partner Adriana Williams, 20, along with Courtney Rose, the children’s grandmother, 38, and 15-year-old Braydon Uncle Williams.

Drummond has a prior criminal history including robbery and threats, and he is currently considered armed and dangerous, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
