Two bodies recovered in Texas County; OSBI yet to release ID’s or cause of death

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation announced Sunday evening that two bodies were discovered in a rural Texas county in Oklahoma.

“Both individuals will be transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for identification, cause and manner of death. This is still under investigation,” OSBI said in a post to X.

This was announced less than 24 hours after the OSBI announced it had four suspects in custody in connection with the disappearance of two Kansas mothers.

Veronica Butler, 27, and Gillian Kelly, 39, were last seen picking up their children on March 30, and their car was later found abandoned. It was done. Near the border of Oklahoma and KansasPolice said foul play was suspected.

All four were booked into Texas County Jail on two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping and one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, OSBI said in a press release.

OSBI has not said whether these bodies are related to the missing women.
