Two Investigations Launched Into Stanford Football’s Troy Taylor For Allegedly Bullying Female Staffers: REPORT

Stanford University's Football Program – More specifically, Coach Troy Taylor reportedly was at the heart of two different investigations focusing on Taylor, who was allegedly bullied and disrespected female staff who worked in the school's athletics department.

According to reports from ESPN Citing the documents obtained, Taylor was at the heart of two separate investigations conducted by law firms outside Stanford. (Related: Nick Saban loads up several FCC complaints to drop the oath to ESPN: Report)

The company considered allegations that Taylor made comments that were “inappropriate” and considered the appearance of women at each outlet. It is also allegedly attempted to fire a compliance officer after Taylor issued a warning that he was violating some NCAA rules.

On each ESPN, Taylor was forced to sign a warning letter in February 2024 after initial investigation. The document said he could be fired from Stanford if Taylor did not switch his actions.

The initial investigation began after “multiple employees” filed a complaint with Stanford, claiming that there was a receiver and personal JABS of hostile and offensive behavior from Taylor. For each ESPN, the survey began in spring 2023.

The second survey was launched by another company in the summer of 2024. ESPN has identified the law firm as Libby, O'Brien, Kingsley & Chapman, with senior adviser Timothy O'Brien leading the way to the investigation. The company is headquartered in Maine.
