Two Juveniles Charged in Connection to Kansas City Shooting

Jackson County Juvenile Services on Wednesday punished two juveniles with firearms charges and resisting arrest Friday in connection with the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl Parade shooting.

Associated Press report A news release from Jackson County Family Court said, “Additional charges are expected in the future as the investigation by the Kansas City Police Department continues.”

KCUR I got it. “Because they are juveniles, they were not charged in adult court, which also means authorities are not releasing their names.”

“We continue to work closely with all authorities as the investigation continues,” Jackson County Attorney Jean Peters Baker said in a statement. We are grateful for our collaboration and partnership with these juvenile police officers. ”

Early Friday morning, Breitbart News report One of the three people detained in connection with the shooting was released and two juveniles were taken into custody.

ABC News observed“Three people were initially detained as suspects in the shooting, but the third person, also a juvenile, was later determined not to be involved in the shooting and was released from police custody.”

Breitbart News reported that more than 20 people were injured and one person was killed in the shooting that occurred at 2pm on Wednesday. The shooting resulted from a dispute between multiple individuals.
