Two masked individuals armed with guns steal $75,000 worth of jewelry from a homeowner in Westchester.

In the early hours of Saturday, two masked gunmen invaded a home in New Rochelle, making off with nearly $2 million in cash and jewels. The incident occurred around 1:25 AM when a 25-year-old man was returning to his 3,000-square-foot mansion on Kewanney Road, according to local police.

The suspects, armed with semi-automatic handguns, attacked the victim, demanding valuables and assaulting him in the process. Police reported that he sustained minor injuries but was treated afterward.

A neighbor described the victim as a “young child,” noting he had lived there for about a year. The neighbor recalled waking to the sound of a “male voice” during the incident. He also mentioned hearing a scream and a car speeding away, adding, “It’s not uncommon to hear people screaming at night, but I wasn’t surprised. This is a quiet neighborhood. I feel very safe.” He seemed to dismiss the notion of random attacks, suggesting there was a specific target involved.

When approached later that day, several high-end vehicles were seen parked in the driveway, including a white Tesla and a gray Tesla Cybertruck, but no one responded to knocks at the door.

Detectives labeled the incident as a targeted home invasion but didn’t disclose specific details about where it occurred in the large house. The assailants are believed to be in their 20s or 30s.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and some residents are on edge. Ronnie Jones, a 24-year-old neighbor in marketing, reacted, “I’m definitely going to lock my door.” Another resident expressed, “This is a surprise to me. I’ve been here since 2016, and I don’t expect this in this neighborhood.”
