Late Sunday in Upper Manhattan, two men were injured in a machete incident, according to police and sources.
A 60-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the neck, while a 40-year-old man had sustained injuries to his arm and stomach.
Reports suggest the two men injured each other during the altercation.
Initially, the 911 caller described the scene as a shooting, but police discovered both men had actually been stabbed, officers stated.
Both men were transported to Harlem Hospital, where the older individual was reported to be in critical condition and the younger one was stable, according to authorities.
At the scene, a machete was found on the ground, its handle on the sidewalk and its blade extending into the street.
