Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a toddler in Maryland, authorities announced Friday.

Lewisdale residents Israel Fuentes Jr., 33, and Johnny Alejandro Turcios, 28, with the support of the community, Prince George, rescued 2-year-old Jeremy Pou-Caceres from a Langley Park incident. He was identified as a suspect in the murder case. County Deputy Police Chief Vernon Hale told reporters.

The shooting occurred near the Bedford Station Apartments in Langley Park around 5:35 p.m. Thursday. Investigators believe Fuentes and Turcios, along with at least two other people, got out of the carjacked gold SUV and fired shots at another group.
