Two Texas boys were taken into custody Saturday after the stabbing of a woman who was hospitalized in critical condition, authorities said.
The stabbing happened just after 2 p.m. at a home on April Valley Court in northwestern Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The boys, ages 7 and 12, allegedly got into an argument with a 59-year-old woman and returned to her home. After the stabbing, the children fled the scene and the woman was taken to a hospital by lifesaving flight, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez wrote. Social media.

“From the information I gather, it was just an altercation,” Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sergio Torres told KPRC-TV.
“The woman appeared to have multiple stab wounds to her abdomen,” Torres continued. “The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she is currently undergoing surgery and is in critical condition.”

It is unclear at this time which child is suspected of stabbing the woman. Local media reported that a 12-year-old boy was charged, but that information has not been confirmed by the sheriff’s office.
