Two Trump Cabinet Members Collaborate to Restore Manufacturing Excellence

Washington –

The Small Business Administration (SBA) and the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) announced a collaborative effort on Wednesday aimed at bolstering U.S. manufacturing.

SBA administrator Kelly Loeffler and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-Deremer shared details of their initiative during a DOL event that morning. They inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) designed to invigorate American manufacturing.

“The president is bringing manufacturing back, an area that’s long been overlooked,” Chavez-Deremer remarked during the announcement.

“By joining forces, we’ll enhance our support for domestic manufacturers, recruit veterans and military spouses, and broaden our apprenticeship network,” she continued. “This partnership with the SBA is another vital step toward achieving our goal of creating a million new apprentices.”

“Our workers have been weighed down by poor economic policies,” Chavez-Deremer added. “But now, we’re rejuvenating the economy—cutting waste, lowering taxes, and trimming unnecessary regulations to lead us into a new golden era. There’s low inflation, promising employment growth, and rising wages. Businesses are thriving, and American workers are getting back to where they belong.”

Chavez-Deremer praised President Donald Trump as the “chief of our negotiators,” stating he “hit a home run” with the significant legislation he signed on July 4th.

“Expanding Pell grants for students in skilled trades is a crucial part of this initiative, giving them the resources to fulfill their commitments made today,” she noted, adding that it includes incentives for domestic production, making it easier to manufacture goods in the U.S.

Chavez-Deremer emphasized that the SBA and DOL are dedicated to fostering growth for small businesses and working alongside Trump to “strengthen” the U.S. economy.

“We ensure that small business owners and American workers, particularly those in domestic manufacturing, receive necessary support during this time of economic opportunity,” the Labor Secretary stated.

Trump has committed to enhancing the U.S. economy during his second term, promising to revitalize the manufacturing sector.

Loeffler hailed the new partnership as an initiative focused on “American employment, American industry, and regaining American strength.” She expressed enthusiasm for the MOU, citing it as part of a broader strategy under President Trump to restore the nation’s manufacturing capabilities.

“It’s not just about fair trade policies; this bill represents a significant incentive for domestic manufacturing,” she said.

Moreover, Loeffler asserted that the collaboration between these federal agencies would unleash the full potential of American industry, aiming to revitalize manufacturing.

“We are dedicated to American workers and small businesses, striving to engage more individuals in our growing workforce,” she stressed. “President Trump has laid a solid foundation. Together, the SBA and DOL will harness the full strength of American industry to revitalize manufacturing.”
