Two women found dead in same Missouri firefighter’s home years apart

Earlier this month, a Missouri doctor died suddenly at his fiancée's home. Just over three years have passed since another woman was found dead in the same man's residence.

Dr. Sarah Sweeney, 39, was found dead at 6:39 a.m. on January 13 in a home in the Westwood neighborhood of St. Louis. Initial alert 4 reported.

Frontenac police said the body had “no obvious signs of trauma.” told Fox News Digital.

Autopsy results are not yet available, but Sweeney's death is being investigated as a sudden death, Corporal. Tim Duda told the media.

The Frontenac Police Department did not immediately respond to The Post's request for comment on the investigation.

Sweeney was found at the home of her fiancé, local fire chief Robert Dowse, and her mother, Teresa Sweeney Wright, made the allegations to Fox.

Sweeney, who recently opened her own podiatry clinic, and Dauss met shortly after moving to the St. Louis area, when Sweeney was working an emergency room shift, the grieving mother explained.

An incident report obtained by Fox News Digital lists Daus as the 911 caller.

Nearly four years ago, in July 2020, firefighters called 911 from a previous address in Creve Coeur to report that his then-fiancée, Grace Holland, had allegedly shot himself in the head in front of him. Fox pointed out.

Holland, a mother of four, was later found to have died by suicide.

However, Holland's family challenged the verdict, saying that although he was right-handed, he shot himself in the left temple.

Her $20,000 engagement ring was also seen in crime scene photos, but has since gone missing, Fox News Digital reported.

Holland's family later sued Dauss for wrongful death.

In the months before Mr. Holland's death, Mr. Dous took control of Mr. Holland's finances and appears to have threatened to end their relationship multiple times, according to filings obtained by Fox News Digital.

Holland's family also suspects domestic violence, she added.

“Brothers in blue aren't going to do anything to me. I already took care of that. You crazy girlfriend,” Daus is heard telling Holland at one point. It is said that a relative heard about it.

Text messages obtained as part of the lawsuit also shed light on the couple's frequent fights, which once culminated with Daus writing, “I will never forgive you.” [sic] you. I won't marry you. ”

The wrongful death lawsuit is still ongoing.

An attorney for Holland's family did not immediately respond to The Post's request for comment.

Sweeney's family sent her a news article after hearing about Holland's death, the late doctor's mother told Fox News Digital.

But by November 2021, Sweeney had stopped responding to messages from her mother and stepfather.

“She was an adult, a doctor, a woman. We didn't know what to do,” Ms. Wright said of her concerns about her daughter's relationship with Daus.

Wright declined to speculate on the cause of her daughter's death, but noted that doctors believe she had mast cell activation syndrome, which can be life-threatening if controlled with medication.

Sweeney also suffered from bone disease. first alert 4 saidciting court records from November 2022 in which the doctor alleged he was harassed by his former employer.

Records show the West Virginia native had been hospitalized and intubated the previous year.

“We wish we could get her back. We just want closure and we want it to be true and fair, but we're still in shock at this point. ” lamented Mr. Wright.
