Two wounded in NYC shootings

Two men were shot and killed in separate incidents in New York City on Friday night.

The first case involved a man who was shot and killed during an argument at a smoking area in Queens.

As the victim tried to leave the store, the suspect fired a second shot, but it missed.

Paramedics took the injured man to Jamaica Medical Center, where his condition was stable.

The gunman fled and no arrests were made.

Police say the suspect is a dark-skinned man with a medium build and dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a waist-length black jacket, a tan jogging suit and white sneakers.

A 24-year-old man was shot once in the back in Brooklyn on Friday around 11 p.m.

Police said the shooting happened on Myrtle Avenue near Stockton Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

EMS transported the victim in stable condition to Kings County Hospital.

The suspect fled on a moped, a New York City Police Department spokesperson said.

Police recovered 12 shell casings of unknown caliber at the scene.

No arrests were made.
