A Texas sheriff was killed in a vehicle accident while transporting an inmate, and another deputy and an inmate were injured, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputy Charles Rivett died Wednesday night in Centerville, according to a statement from Montgomery County Sheriff Rand Henderson.
Centerville is located approximately 100 miles north of Houston.
