Knicks Player Voices Excitement Over Potential Chalamet Casting
Tyler Korek, the guard for the Knicks, shared his thoughts about the possibility of Timothée Chalamet portraying him on screen.
“I think it’d be fantastic,” he remarked from the red carpet at the ESPYs held at Lincoln Center. “Let’s see if he would want to do it.”
During a pivotal Game 4 in the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, Korek made a crucial 3-pointer, while Chalamet gained attention for leaping from his courtside spot in Madison Square Garden to shout, “White boys!”
This moment sparked a conversation among Knicks fans online, as they began to notice the striking resemblance between Korek and Chalamet. Following the team’s championship victory, Korek shared a photo on Instagram with the trophy, prompting comments like, “Timmy’s going to play you in the Knicks documentary,” and a follower quipped, “And he’ll play Timmy.”
Korek has been reveling in the team’s first NBA title in 53 years, saying, “It was incredible. The energy in the city was electric.” He added that he took a short break to find some balance before participating in events like the ESPYs and Fanatics Fest.
When reflecting on the victory, he commented, “Going back to reality after all the excitement was necessary. But it’s exciting to come back for the World Cup finals.”
The former Marquette standout expressed his belief that teamwork was key to their success: “Our bond and care for one another were crucial. Some players get caught up in personal statistics, but we united and achieved our goals as a team.”
During the ticker tape parade, Korek was accompanied by his girlfriend Alexi Souza. He mentioned his intentions to keep the championship merchandise safe for future generations. “I’ve got to hold onto that… perhaps frame the jersey. I even got the ball from the finals,” he said. “I want to save that for my kids and for my future self.”
Furthermore, he shared that one of his favorite moments from the finals was the reactions from fans outside Madison Square Garden. “The videos of people celebrating in the streets really stood out for me,” he noted. “Those are definitely memories I’ll cherish.”
