Tyler, the son of Mike Vrabel, charged with reckless driving

Tyler Vrabel, the son of Mike Vrabel, has faced charges for reckless driving in Tennessee. This incident comes not long after a publicly discussed alleged affair involving his father and reporter Deanna Russini.

The 26-year-old, who coaches the offensive line at Boston College after a brief stint in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons, was cited for reckless driving, speeding, and having an expired registration. He was pulled over in Brentwood, Williamson County, on May 9, as documented by police records.

According to the responding officer’s criminal complaint, Tyler was driving a black Ford F-150 at 111 mph in a 45 mph zone early that morning.

Brentwood Police Officer Aaron Yoder noted in an affidavit that the truck sped recklessly past houses and other cars.

When stopped, Tyler allegedly provided a registration document that was not due to expire until December 2024.

The charges against him were filed on May 21, based on information from online records.

It appears he incurred nearly $1,000 in fines from the encounter, including a $250 charge for a blood alcohol test.

As the eldest child of Mike and Jen Vrabel, Tyler and the Brentwood Police have not commented on the situation. It’s unclear if he has entered a plea.

This legal issue arises in the midst of a scandal involving Russini and Mike Vrabel, which surfaced publicly in April. Reports indicated that they were seen together at a luxury hotel in Sedona, Arizona. Both have denied any romantic connection, although previous photos have shown them together on various trips.

Interestingly, Russini, who recently left The Athletic amid the scandal, shared in February about using her connections with NFL coaches to avoid a traffic ticket. She had been pulled over for texting while driving and contacted a team’s coach to help persuade the officer for leniency.

Reflecting on that incident, she mentioned, “I know I’m not supposed to do that, but… it worked.”
