Tyreek Hill Focused on Football Amid Domestic Abuse Allegations

Tyreek Hill spoke to the media for the first time since his ex-wife accused him of domestic abuse during their marriage. On Friday, he emphasized that his primary focus is on “playing ball.”

“Right now, I’m all about playing ball, spending time with my kids, and doing my best for the family,” Hill shared with reporters. “If you let all the noise in, it clouds what you’re really trying to achieve.”

In related court documents obtained by TMZ, Hill declined to comment on the ongoing divorce proceedings, where his estranged wife, Kita Vaccaro, has alleged eight instances of domestic violence beginning in January 2024.

Hill, an eight-time Pro Bowler, issued a statement via his attorneys on Monday, insisting that Vaccaro’s accusations are simply “shakedowns” that lead to “bad media coverage.”

The NFL is currently investigating the allegations, with a league spokesperson confirming on Wednesday that reviewing such matters is part of standard policy.

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel informed reporters that the team is in communication with the NFL and that they will follow the appropriate procedures.

On the field, Hill was visibly frustrated during the Colts’ 33-8 victory over the Dolphins in the season opener, despite leading the team with four catches for 40 yards.

This week, Hill organized a player-only meeting to foster accountability as the Dolphins prepare for their upcoming game against New England.

Even though Hill, 31, was not named a captain this season, he believes these discussions will benefit the team in the long run.

“Every day, the standard is the standard,” he stated. “Taking responsibility is crucial. I think accountability is essential. If we handle it right, we’ll be fine. I feel confident in our chances this week – the guys are attacking practice seriously, and we’re getting better. It’s all really promising.”
