The Kansas City Chiefs remain unbeaten after Week 4, but they may face some challenges with their wide receivers following their victory against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday night.
Tyquan Thornton, who recorded five receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns, suffered a serious injury during a 55-yard catch-and-run play, which will sideline him for a while.
Additionally, Rashee Rice, who has been the go-to receiver for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, sustained a hamstring issue during a catch in the first quarter that prevented him from continuing in the game.
With two starters likely out for some time, a familiar face has popped up on social media. Tyreek Hill, known for his performance with Mahomes during their Super Bowl victories, tweeted a cryptic “Hm” following his former team’s 30-27 win over their AFC West rival.
This tweet was simple yet vague, but it raises speculation about whether Hill, who is still recovering from a severe knee injury, may be hinting at a desire to reunite with the Chiefs, especially given their promising start this season.
Throughout the season, Hill has been active on social media, posting workout videos and keeping a close eye on league events, suggesting he might still be in playing shape.
Fans from various teams interpreted Hill’s “Hm” tweet in their own ways, hoping he was referring to their respective teams. However, with the Chiefs boasting a 4-0 record, it seems likely he’d be interested in joining them again, especially with their outlook on heading to the playoffs.
Recently, Hill remarked on social media about Mahomes being a “different man” as he prepared for Week 1 after recovering from injuries. Hill has also mentioned that he feels he can still contribute significantly, noting that “32 is not old” when responding to a fan’s comment about his age in a workout video.
Right after Week 3, he tweeted about being ready to start working again, while also expressing a desire for colder weather—something Kansas City is known for later in the season, where he has excelled under the coaching of Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy.
Given the injuries to the Chiefs’ receiving corps, one can’t help but wonder if Hill is seriously contemplating a return to the team. For now, he’ll keep up with his workouts and wait to see if a team reaches out for his skills in 2026.
