Tyreese Halliburton Proposes to Jade Jones in Heartfelt Gesture
Tyreese Halliburton went all out to propose to his college sweetheart, Jade Jones.
The Pacers’ All-Star guard, who recently suffered an Achilles injury during Game 7 of the NBA Finals, returned to Iowa State—where he first met Jones. It was here that he got down on one knee at the Hilton Coliseum.
In a joint post on Instagram, they shared, “Where our story began, and where our next chapter begins,” accompanied by photos of the special moment.
Halliburton and Jones began their relationship while attending Iowa State. He was busy playing college basketball, and she was part of the cheer squad.
This past April, they celebrated six years together.
Despite wearing medical boots, Halliburton ditched his mobility scooter to pop the question and take pictures in front of Iowa State’s signature.
The gym was beautifully arranged with bright “Will you marry me?” letters, along with rose petals, balloons, and floating candles.
Jones proudly displayed her stunning oval diamond ring in various photos.
The couple later enjoyed a private gathering at a bar with friends and family, with pictures and videos shared by Jones on her Instagram stories.
They also posed for photos with former Iowa teammates Georges Nian and Nazareth Mittrou Long, showcasing their connection with Cyclone pride.
Jones has been a constant support for Halliburton, especially during his injuries, including the one he faced in the first quarter of the recent NBA Finals.
The Thunder clinched their first NBA championship after defeating the Pacers 103-91 last month.
Known for her custom game day outfits, Jones is a familiar face at Pacers’ home games. The couple often attends WNBA games together, sharing a close bond with Fever star Kelsey Mitchell.
