Pacers Reach NBA Finals After Dramatic Win
Tyrese Halliburton’s girlfriend, Jade Jones, showcased her playful side online. With her strong social media presence, she managed to get a good laugh following the Indiana Pacers’ victory over the New York Knicks, a win that takes the Pacers to the NBA Finals for the first time in two decades.
This significant series win was fueled by a remarkable comeback, which Jones clearly enjoyed. After the game, she shared a post on Instagram, joyfully saying, “We finally got to see the New York ball drop,” accompanied by a laughing emoji.
As the Knicks’ season came to an end recently, Jones took another jab at them, posting, “NY GO NY GO GO…HOME!!!” with a nod to the Knicks’ famous chant
.
Her Instagram featured several fun photos, including three snapshots with Halliburton and a creative AI-generated image of the Statue of Liberty donning a Pacers jersey. Another memorable image captured Halliburton’s iconic chalk signal after Game 1.
In addition to the lighter moments, Halliburton has been vocal about some serious topics, including his views on trans athletes in sports, stating that “men don’t belong in women’s sports.” Recently, he humorously responded to a comment made by Ben Stiller regarding his attire. Halliburton, along with his teammates, entered the field house dressed in all black, commenting on the finality of the series with the Knicks.
After their win, Halliburton confirmed he was merely “packing everything” rather than making a statement with his bag.
Looking ahead, the Pacers are set to face the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are considered the favorites for the championship. The Thunder had an impressive regular-season record of 68-14, led by MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Throughout their playoff run, the Pacers defeated the Detroit Pistons and the Boston Celtics, both unexpected hurdles after the Knicks upset the Milwaukee Bucks and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Meanwhile, the Pacers are contemplating their matchup against the Thunder, who previously defeated them in both regular-season games.
