U.S. government forces abortion on poor countries

Abortion is a hugely controversial topic here in the US, but as it has made its way into poorer non-Western countries it has flown under the radar.

Physician and researcher Dr Callum Miller calls this “abortion colonialism.”

“The idea is that this is a new form of ideological colonialism, where Western countries go to non-Western countries and say, ‘We have to pro-abortion, we have to legalize abortion, we have to provide abortion in schools,'” Miller said. Allie Beth Stuckey “I can empathize.”

If they refuse, they are threatened with having their aid or something else withheld.

“They’re basically going to these countries and saying, ‘Your culture and values don’t matter. We know you well and you have to change them or we won’t support you,'” Miller explains.

Some of the “most sinister” examples of abortion colonialism occur in places like the Pacific Islands, where people are generally afraid of climate change and fear that rising sea levels will wipe out their countries.

“This is a very existential threat to these countries,” Miller said, and wealthy countries are going to these countries and saying, “We’re going to vote for environmental policies that will save your country, but only if you support abortion.”

“So environmentalists and people who are concerned about environmental issues are very cynical and don’t really care about the actual environment or climate change, and they’re going to base their support for climate change policies on whether or not Pacific Islanders want to kill babies,” Miller explains.

“They’re basically threatening to annihilate these countries unless they support abortion,” he added.

Stuckey points out that they have done the same thing with regards to the LGBTQ agenda.

“Democratic governments are telling countries like Uganda that unless they repeal their laws against homosexuality, we will withhold aid unless they conform to our ideological position,” she says.

To stop this, “it’s not enough to just cut the International Planned Parenthood Federation’s budget from $100 million to $50 million,” Miller said.

“If we want to preserve these countries, protect their cultural values, and give them the tools and the resources to do that, we have to reach out to these countries, provide support, send pro-life missionaries, provide resources, political support, and education.”

“Because the reality is, even if U.S. government funding stopped flowing to countries around the world, there would still be millions of dollars left over from the Gates Foundation, Soros, Packard and many others that are far more than pro-lifers have.”
