U.S. Military Airstrike Kills Senior ISIS Official

On June 16, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Twitter that the U.S. military had killed a senior ISIS leader in an airstrike in Syria.

“On June 16, U.S. Central Command conducted airstrikes in Syria that killed ISIS senior leader and intermediary Osama Jamal Muhammad Ibrahim al-Janabi,” the statement said.

“His death will disrupt ISIS’s ability to acquire resources and carry out terrorist attacks.”
