U.S. Strikes Iranian Rocket Launchers
U.S. forces have targeted two Iranian rocket launchers located on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz, as confirmed by a U.S. official to various media outlets.
This operation, which is the first U.S. military action in the last month, comes as the focus has shifted towards a more economic strategy aimed at pressuring the Islamic Republic.
According to reports, the U.S. official stated that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was seen attempting to launch rockets along with sea mines into the strategic waterway.
This comes after President Donald Trump declared earlier in the week that the Strait was entirely clear of mines, based on intelligence from the U.S. Navy. He also cautioned that any attempts to place new explosives in that area would provoke a strong response.
“There is a Zero Tolerance policy on mine placement in full force and effect,” he remarked.
In response, an IRGC spokesperson, in a statement broadcasted by Iran’s state media, promised retaliation, reporting injuries and deaths among their forces.

This includes the ongoing naval blockade of Iranian ports, which remains in operation. As of Sunday, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that blockade enforcement actions led to the redirection of 83 commercial vessels, with three disabled and two boarded.
