However, the UAW strike was prompted by record inflation under President Biden and the White House's agenda to require automakers to produce electric vehicles (EVs), both of which will reduce auto wages. , and may eventually outsource auto employment.
While supporting Biden, Fein acknowledged that “working class people are hurting today.”
“For decades, we have been ignored and downtrodden at best in the workplace. But we are the majority of society,” Fein said. “We have the numbers, we have the votes, and if we come together we can strike fear into the hearts of the billionaire class.”

Meanwhile, President Trump slammed Biden's record of supporting free trade agreements and opposing his plan to impose a flat 10% tariff on all foreign imports.

President Trump also warned that Biden's EV policy could eliminate millions of auto and supporting industry jobs because cars don't require as much labor.
Similarly, despite a House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) recommending that the administration revoke China's free trade status with the United States, Biden administration officials believe that decoupling with China is not an option. He even says he's not interested.
With Fein's support, Biden hopes to lock in union votes in key battleground states like Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Ohio, many of which Trump voted in 2016 and 2020. I voted for Trump because of his economic nationalist policy stance.
